Black Tea Flavor

Flavors can be used in so many different products, from teas, to pastries, even recreating healthy versions of some of our favorite desserts! This month, we highlighted some of our great tea and coffee flavors, from matcha tea to espresso. Our R&D team is always creating new ways to utilize our flavors in our applications lab. Black tea flavor is a great way to bring dimension to any project with its earthiness, umami and sweet profile.

What’s one tea creation we’ve seen trending most recently? Black Milk Bubble Tea! While it seems like bubble tea (or “boba”) has become a relatively new trend, it’s actually been a very popular drink in Asian countries since the 1980’s. With a variety of flavor options, colors, and even textures (due to the tapioca pearls), this fun beverage has gained enormous popularity in the US, Australia, and European markets as well. Not only have we seen more bubble tea shops pop up, but we’re starting to see an increase in ready-to-drink bubble tea creations as well.
